Robust Business Intelligence Platform
Simplify the deployment and management of BI tools, reports, and analytics. Enable
IT to be proactive and participate in business changes by delivering the most extensive
set of BI tools on a single platform.
In order to meet these objectives Business Objects offers a number of BI Platform solutions
that are positioned to fit the differing requirements of organisations at varying stages of maturity.
Each of the links below will take you to a detailed product sheet highlighting the key benefits of
the Business Objects solutions.
Information Management
Ensure your data is integrated, accurate, and timely. Business Objects provides
powerful ETL functionality, data can be extracted from nearly any technology platform
where it can be cleansed and manipulated before being integrated into reports, dashboards,
portals or other applications.
Information Delivery
Access, share and present BI information with products that integrate with your
existing technology investments. Business Objects dashboard components provide
a ‘management by exception’ capability. All critical business KPI’s are collated
in one location with clear measures and limits, giving managers an early warning
system to minimise negative impacts on your business.

Query, Reporting and Analysis
Provide access to the most requested items of information reliably and securely.
However your users want to access, view or analyse data, there is a suitable tool
in the Business Objects product suite, from pixel perfect formatted reports to web,
desktop and Microsoft Office integration.
SAP Business Intelligence
With common business content throughout R/3, the entire SAP ERP landscape can get
your data warehouse up and running in a much shorter time frame than other traditional,
built from the ground up solutions.
Powerful Extraction, Transformation and Load (ETL) functionality combined with seamless
integration with all SAP ERP modules can manipulate and prepare your data for effective
reporting.
Excellent administration tools can ensure reliability and minimise unplanned downtime.
SAP Reporting
Business Objects and SAP: A perfect match
The acquisition of Business Objects has opened a huge number of possibilities for data
visualisation, reporting, analysis and data integration. However, exactly how the two
product sets will combine can lead to confusion. You can find details of the roadmap here,
obviously the details can change but this gives a great perspective on how the product
suite will evolve.
Speed: SAP has a mature analytics engine enables millions of rows of data to be queried in seconds.
The optional BI Accelerator is unique in the market and can boost performance for time critical
solutions yet further.
Visualisation: Information can be presented any way your users require it with native web,
Excel, email and portal-based reporting options to name but a few. Include the recently acquired
Business Objects product set into your implementation and your choice of best-of-breed reporting
products is second to none.
SAP Business Planning
Where are we? SAP has market leading planning and consolidation applications. Business Planning
and Consolidation (BPC) has superceded Intergrated Planning but this will be supported until 2017
and the SAP version of BPC is in ramp up at present and is only likely to be released in Q2 2009.
Optimise and standardise: SAP’s web or Excel-based planning products allow you to optimise, speed up
and standardise the planning process across the business. By removing task duplication and individual,
complex, custom processes your business can be more effective in how it manages and monitors performance
Experience: You can find details of an integrated planning project that we successfully managed in the Oil and Gas industry here.
